Red Hawaiian Sea Salt


Red Hawaiian salt, also known as Alaea sea salt, is a traditional salt used widely in Hawaii for both seasoning and preserving. It gets its red colour from the addition of “Alaea,” a baked volcanic clay that enriches the salt with iron oxide. This natural red clay also gives the salt a subtle, mellow flavour that distinguishes it from other sea salts.

Our red salt has coarse crystals and is ideal for general seasoning, especially with roasted and grilled meats like prime rib and pork loin.
