Okay, we have to say it: our Pumpkin Pie Spice makes the best pumpkin pie around. Even our moms are using it. It’s a blend of cinnamon, allspice, nutmeg, ginger, cloves and mace. And there’s no need to limit yourself to pumpkin pie. This blend is great in carrot cake, pumpkin or zucchini bread, muffins, pancake batter, or sprinkled on oatmeal with a bit of brown sugar. It’s also good in squash-based soups.
For pumpkin pie, use 2-3 teaspoons for each 9-inch pie. For other baking, use about ½ teaspoon per cup of batter.
Ingredients: Vietnamese cinnamon, Indonesian cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, allspice, cloves, mace.
