The American Spice Trade Association (ASTA) gives ratings to paprikas based on extractable colour, and this paprika is highly rated, which makes it ideal for adding a warm reddish tone to food. It has a mild and sweet flavour without a lot of depth. Mix some of this paprika with a bit of water to extract the colour before adding it to your dish. This is also a great paprika to use for finishing and garnishing.
Paprika loses its colour quickly when it is exposed to light, and since colour is such an important aspect of paprika we sell ours in tins rather than glass jars. Paprika can be stored in the refrigerator to extend the life of its colour and flavour even longer.
