Crushed Marash chiles are very similar to our Aleppo chiles from Syria, but have an even fruitier taste and are ever so slightly less acidic. The heat is moderate, which makes these little chile flakes perfect for finishing salads, pastas, pizza, sandwiches, and almost any type of Mediterranean food. Use them anywhere you would use other red chile flakes for less heat and a brighter, tarter flavour.
Marash chiles flakes are quite moist and clumpy due to the high level of oil in them. We recommend keeping them in the fridge.
