Our regular Italian Seasoning has been a best-seller since the earliest days of our company. It was one of the very first spice blends we made. After more than 10 years, we finally decided to take it a step further by making a deluxe version that includes the same five herbs as the original but adds black pepper, onion, roasted garlic, red and green bell peppers, fennel seeds and Aleppo chile flakes. Like the original, it contains no salt.
The original version will always be available, but Deluxe Italian Seasoning gives extra dimension to pasta and pizza sauces, meatballs, focaccia, and anything else you’re making. The fennel seeds are subtle but give an unmistakable Mediterranean tone to your food, and the Aleppo chiles add just a hint of citrusy heat.
