Hyssop has a strong and vibrant minty scent, but a lightly bitter flavour due to the tannins present in the leaves. It is used as a culinary herb in some places (including in some versions of Za’atar) and as a flavouring for liqueurs such as Chartreuse and absinthe.
The Silk Road’s line of botanical roots and herbs is meant for flavouring infusions such as bitters, root beers, teas, syrups, and other similar things. These products are not sold or recommended for medicinal purposes.
